Post-Debate Debate

Well, the first 2016 Presidential debate was last Thursday. My problem with debates, especially early on, is that we really don’t learn anything new about the candidates. Especially with so many candidates on stage, we only get to hear a lot of the stump speeches the candidates have been honing. There’s also not much “debating” – everyone sticks with his or her talking points. It will be no different when the Democrats decide to debate – everyone will just be looking for gaffes, not substance. Welcome to the new political paradigm.
