When I was young I always thought that I did not belong in a small town, and when I grew up I’d live in a big city, where everything was happening. I got my chance in my 20’s to move to Boston and work in the city for a couple of years – I hated it, and couldn’t wait to get back to small town living.
As I’ve gotten older I’ve come to appreciate the beauty of small things – I’m less impatient and can take the time to find that beauty. I guess I’m just a small-town boy after all.
On today’s show we bounce around different genres – country, reggae, soul and rock. So listen in to hear the Marshall Tucker Band, Gram Parsons, Steve Earle, Johnny Cash, Dwight Yoakam, Toots Hibbert, Dandy Livingstone, Bob Marley and the Wailers, Joe Hicks, The Bamboos, Parliament, Tom Waits, Bob Mould and Luscious Jackson.
