Holidays

My friend Melanie had an art opening on Friday, and Kate and I went up to Bethel, Maine to see it. Melanie is a wonderful painter (the daffodils painting is one of the paintings we bought), and if you find yourself in Bethel this winter, you should go to the Mill Hill Inn (where Kate and I stayed – it’s very nice there) to see the art show.

We went up to visit our old friends and had a wonderful time. We were also surprised to see old friends Joey and Nick, who were staying nearby with family. Seeing lots of old friends was great, and an excellent reason for the holidays. I hope that everyone has a great holiday season with friends and family, and if you can get together with old friends that’s even better. In this not very good year at least I know that I just had one of the highlights of my year, seeing old friends and making plans to see them again soon.
