Father’s Day

I had a dream earlier this week (wait – I’m NOT going to recount it to you) that had Pete Miller (R.I.P, buddy) tell me to become the person I should be, rather than stay as I am. It was a good reminder for me – at age 56 one tends to get into a groove and be content with who one has become, but in my case I know that I have more to do to improve – doesn’t everyone?

He also handed me a local newspaper and told me that the editorial was great. The article was one of those rambling, “empty the closet”-type pieces that was just a miscellany of thoughts that came to the writer to stand in for an editorial about one thing. I remember being amused by the article (no, I don’t remember anything that was written). I’m not sure what that means, though. Should I write more rambling pieces of miscellaneous information (such as – “bacon spices up almost everything it’s added to”)? Maybe not. That’s something I’ll need to ponder (it seemed to be an important part of the dream, but that’s one reason why we shouldn’t tell people about dreams – unimportant stuff gets elevated).

Oh…the podcast. Well, a couple of months ago my computer died, and I had a couple of extra podcasts that I had uploaded so I could post them without computer access. I have anew computer, but it has similarly broken (less than 2 months after purchase!) and has been sent away. It’s now in Kentucky being looked at. Unfortunately, I did not have any podcasts already uploaded to send out. So no podcast this week (and probably none next week). When I get the computer back I’ll go back to uploading podcasts for the week (I have on podcast completed and one that should be easy to complete – stay tuned). Maybe this week will be a good week to listen to a podcast that you may have missed.

Happy Father’s Day.
