Hurricane

It’s hurricane preparation season up here in the Northeast. Fred hit us with some drenching rain but not much else (wind, etc.). Depending on where it tracks, Henri could hit us hard, but for now, it looks like we won’t get much beyond the rain. Predictions of when the rain begins keep getting pushed out, and it looks like it’ll end earlier than first forecast. We’ll see.

We’ve gotten used to getting ready for big storms. We have enough food, so we don’t go to the store in case we’re without power for days – we can survive quite nicely without having to shop with everyone who apparently doesn’t have enough food to last in case of an emergency.

We’ll chill out for as long as necessary – which will probably be not this time, according to the latest forecast. Hope everyone who might get hit stays safe, though.
