I just did a quick search on what happened in 1986. Anwer’s not much. Prince Andrew married Sarah Ferguson. Strange, a man nicknamed “Randy Andy” back in the 1980s is now in trouble for consorting with Jeffrey Epstein and is accused of having sex with underage girls.
In 1986 I was living in Newton, MA, with my wife and son, working for Kay-Bee Toy & Hobby Shops at the Mall at Chestnut Hill. The hours were very long there, and I soon left (after injuring my back and neck).
The music that year was still strong, with a couple of newcomers that really hit big, like Pet Shop Boys. West End Girls was my favorite song of that year and up there on my all-time favorites.
